What is HalalVest?
HalalVest is a pioneering digital financial community, registered both as a Savings & Credit Cooperative Society and a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
HalalVest is also a trademarked entity, duly recognized and registered with the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment — Commercial Law Department, Industrial Property Office Registry.
Our journey began at Madinah University, Saudi Arabia, where our founders, inspired by a shared vision, created HalalVest as a practical solution to manage their monthly allowances and promote a disciplined savings culture among fellow students.
Today, HalalVest has grown into a trusted platform, providing Shari’ah-compliant savings and investment opportunities that empower individuals and communities to achieve financial discipline, economic growth, and spiritual well-being.
A Short Story
HalalVest is the first Hostel-Started non-interest digital savings platform in the world.
We first started as "BilalyglobalSavers" in 2021 at the hostel of the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, as a savings-only platform to help ourselves — friends — save from our monthly student allowances.
We soon rebranded to HalalVest. For one full year, we offered only savings to our members. In the coming months, by the will and grace of Allah, we will start offering direct partnership and investment opportunities in addition to savings.
The platform has been working to improve in all spheres since inception. Now, HalalVest is licensed and headquartered in Abuja, as HalalVest Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited — a secure and reliable platform for its members to save and grow their wealth.
Muhammed Miftah Bilal
I am Muhammed Miftah Olajide Adekunle Bilal, the founder and driving force of HalalVest Co-op.
With a strong academic foundation in Hadith, Islamic Studies, and Islamic Finance from the prestigious Madinah University, Saudi Arabia, I have been inspired to innovate and contribute meaningfully to the world of ethical finance.
Since the inception of HalalVest Co-op in 2021, I have served as the Managing Director and CEO, committed to empowering individuals and communities through Shari'ah-compliant savings and investments.
My passion lies in providing halal financial solutions that foster economic growth, uphold social responsibility, and nurture spiritual well-being.
By Allah's permission, this is only the beginning, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you. Together, we are building Africa's leading Halal Savings and Investment Cooperative.
What Inspired the Creation of HalalVest?
As scholarship students at Madinah University, we were blessed with monthly allowances from the Saudi Government — may Allah reward them. Yet, like many peers, I found it difficult to save due to constant financial demands.
To manage this, I began sending part of my allowance to a trusted friend for safekeeping until the holidays. Realising that others faced the same struggle, we came together in the university hostel and founded HalalVest — a platform to encourage disciplined saving, financial responsibility, and mutual support.
Our vision was simple: to help individuals manage their finances wisely, build a culture of saving, and achieve their goals within a supportive, Shari'ah-compliant community.
Our Growth & Future Plans
Alhamdulillāh, HalalVest has witnessed steady growth since inception — fuelled first by simple referrals and word of mouth. Today, our community proudly spans the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria, bringing together a diverse and vibrant membership.
A key milestone we celebrate is that our members have collectively saved over ₦500 million to date, mā shā' Allāh — a testament to the dedication of our members and the strength of HalalVest as a trusted platform.
By Allah's will, our vision is to make HalalVest a brand synonymous with excellence, integrity, and trust. We are pursuing a strategic expansion plan — building a diversified conglomerate, one business at a time — with an immediate focus on creating a comprehensive financial services ecosystem for our members.
